Abstract:
Computed Tomography (CT) is a X-ray based radiological diagnostic
method that generates the more detailed cross-sectional images of body.
During the CT imaging, patient is exposed to different radiation doses
depending on different parameters. In addition to the radiation absorbed
by the patient, it can be backscattered to different points in CT facility. In
this study, backscattered dose amount in 3 different axis and amount of the
backscattered dose depending on axis and angle have been investigated
by using Polimaster Survey Meter PM1405 detector. As a result,
backscattered dose amount have been observed as similar in the two
different projection 45 degree axises and in minimal levels in linear axis
