Abstract: The first census, described as modern in the Ottoman Empire, was conducted in 1830-1831. The population books, which appeared as a product of this census are of great importance in historical research. The population books provide important information about the demographic structure of the settlements. These notebooks, which provide detailed information about the population living in these settlements are one of the important sources referenced in local history research. The work we are working on provides important and original information about the demographic structure of Küçükçekmece. No previous work has been done on this work.
