dc.description.abstractBu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin akıllı telefon oyun tercihleri ile cinsiyet, gelir ve akıllı telefon kullanım sıklığı arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi ve Kocaeli Üniversitesi’nde farklı fakültelerde okuyan 405 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama amacı ile Durdu, Tüfekçi ve Çağıltay (2005) tarafından yapılan “Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Bilgisayar Oyunu Oynama Alışkanlıkları ve Oyun Tercihleri” adlı çalışmada uygulanan anket formu, akıllı cep telefonları dikkate alınarak güncellenip kullanılmış ve katılımcılara toplamda 29 soru yöneltilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda cinsiyet ile daha fazla oyun oynama arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuş ve erkek katılımcıların kadınlara oranla oyunlarını geliştirmek veya seviyelerini yükseltmek için daha fazla para harcadıkları görülmüştür. Araştırmada literatürü destekler nitelikte, hareket ve serüven türünde oyunların en fazla tercih edilen oyun türleri olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Katılımcıların çoğu stres atmak amacıyla oyun oynadıklarını ifade etmiştir. Ayrıca ailenin aylık geliri ile akıllı telefon kullanmaya başlama yaşı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu, ancak ailenin aylık geliri ile akıllı telefona oyun yükleme arasında herhangi bir ilişki bulunmadığı elde edilen bulgular arasındadır.tr_TR

dc.description.abstractolThis study was carried out to determine the relationship between the university students’ preferences of smartphone games and the gender, income, and the frequency of smartphone use. The study group consists of 405 students studying at different faculties of Istanbul Gelişim University and Kocaeli University. In order to collect data, a survey form that was used in the study of Durdu, Tüfekçi and Çağıltay (2005) on Computer Game Habits and Game Preferences of the University Students was used with an update, considering the smart mobile phones, 29 questions were asked to participants in total. As a result of the study, it was seen that there was a significant correlation between gender and more game-playing and male participants spent more money to improve their games or raise their level compared to women. It has been found that games in the type of animation and adventure are the most preferred types of games in both universities and this result is supported by the literature. Most of the participants stated that they played games in order to blow off steam. It has been also found that there is a significant correlation between the monthly income of the family and the age of starting to use a smartphone, however, there is no correlation between the monthly income of the family and the game loading for smart phones.tr_TR
