| tr_TR |

dc.description.abstractol | The place and the position of woman in the changing and improving world has not yet achieved the desired level. Researches in recent years shows that women’s involvement to business life ratio is increasing. However the rarity of woman executives is remarkable. One of the most important and the most recent factors of this is ‘ glass ceiling syndrome’. It is observed that women work under the pressure of ‘glass ceiling’. The fact that women are undertaking several roles, lack of a mentor, the presence of male-dominated society and organizations, are the reasons why the number of woman executives can’t reach the desired level. The ‘ glass ceiling’ barriers that hinders woman’s promotion in professional life is not an easy and quick obstacle to overcome. Because of busy working schedule, having multi-roles, societies’ prejudices and not having guiding administrators the ‘glass ceiling’ can’t be overcome. Firstly, this research is studied within the scope of women’s working life literature in the historical period. Afterwards, a survey on how both working man and woman perceive the glass ceiling obstacles and what they think about the differences is made. | tr_TR |
