Abstract:
Global competition has lead organizations to focus on every aspect of their
operations, questioning the process of each function and how to achieve strategic
goals. Human resource can be considered as the foremost asset of an organization
that require investing in that asset to certain their survival and growth.
Additionally, training has become a vital and it is one of the most valuable
investment. It plays an essential role in improving employee performance and also
helps in organizations’ profitability. Employees’ perception regarding training
activities generates a feeling of social exchange value, this build a relationship and
loyalty between the employees and organization. Moreover, the training plays an
essential role in the development of employees towards performance improvement.
All organizations require effective training activities in order to update their
employee skills and gain competitive edge in market which in turn contributes in
organizations’ profitability and productivity.
The purpose of this thesis was to determine employee perceptions in terms of
training and their impact on employee performance. This study focuses on
employees of banking sector in Pakistan.
When it comes to the banking sector of Pakistan the perceptions of employees
regarding the training and their impact on potential performance is the area that
needs a deeper understanding. The research adopted a quantitative research method.
For achieving the object of this research, data were successfully collected from 450
employees who have participated in training activities in the Pakistan’s banking
sector.
Analyses were carried out from SPSS software, where reliability analysis,
correlation analysis, one sample T test, Cronbach Alpha, and multiple regression
analysis were performed.
