Özet:
In our study, opinions about the students’ and teachers’ school buildings and gardens
that have different architectural features were investigated. The research was carried
out with the participation of 47 teachers and 240 students in 3 primary schools with
different properties. After the necessary permission was obtained, 3 school was
chosen including a lower level, secondary level and the upper level. In these schools
students and teachers were conducted a poll and interview technique was applied for
some of them.
According to the survey, schools with low architectural features have 40 branches, 2
classes for preschool students and 38 classes for primary school students, and tey
also have 4216 students in total. There aren’t any libraries, dining halls and sports
halls. There are 5 administrator rooms and 1 special education class but there aren’t
any rooms for counceling service. There is a canteen in the school garden like a
snack bar. It was reported that hardware is insufficent and some of the classes took a
collection up for delineascope . It was stated that the boards are old and chalky, desks
are insufficent, corridors are narrow and dirty, air conditioning is inadequate. It was
also stated that there is no green field and playground in the school garden, hygiene
is insufficent and the wall of the school garden is very high.
It is stated that there are 12 branches and 230 students in schools with medium level
architectural features. There are music hall, sports hall and conference hall in
schools. There are delineascopes, internet connectivity and laptops in classes.
Corridors are wide enough and the lighting is adequate. Billboards are updated and
sufficent. Teachers’ room is wide enough and there are a television and a computer
in it. There are useful halls for taekwon-do, gymnastic, volleyball, basketball and
football and also music halls. There are libraries in schools. There are toilets in each
floor and they are clean as well. There is a playground in the garden and it is wide
enough to play. Green field is sufficent and it is stated that the necesssary hygiene is
provided.
There are 36 branches and 806 students in schools with upper level architectural
features. There are infirmaries, libraries, dining halls, sports halls, canteens, tea Corridors are pretty wide and toilets are clean. Green field and playground are
sufficent for students and the necesssary hygiene is provided as well.
According to the survey, it was determined that materials and the missing parts of the
schools should be reported to the Ministery of National Education and the necessary
measures shold be taken. It was suggested that the school buildings should have the
necessary architectural features, color of the school should have been decided by
students and teacher of the school and the environmental plan should have been
made by getting students’ and teachers’s opinion.
