Abstract: Although in Turkey students have been learning English during their education lives in generally they have difficulty in learning English. This situation about foreign language causes learned helplessness for them. One of the factors has an effect on learning foreign language is individual differences which is originated from learners‟ own. This is showed that the most important factor affecting attitudes towards English is individual differences. Actually individual differences involve individuals‟ attitudes. In addition, many researches are mentioned that student‟s belief and their improved attitudes with foreign language learning is a factor which affects their success and failure. The purpose of the research finds out whether there become different or not in terms of variables such as gender, grades, school, the education status of parents and the number of siblings in primary school and middle school students‟ attitudes towards English lesson according to different variables. The target population of the research is formed of 461 primary school and middle school students who were three different schools in Ġstanbul in 2018-2019 academic years. The data of the research was acquired on behalf of “Attitude Scale towards English Lesson” which has behavioral and sensual (affective) aspect and developed by Orakcı (2017). The acquired data is analyzed by SPSS programme and while it was analyzing the data it was utilized range of frequencies, percent calculation, t- test and ANOVA statistical method. When it was analyzed the study finding female students, 5 grades students, Private School B students have positive attitudes towards English lesson. In addition students who have university graduate of their parents and students who have no siblings have positive attitudes towards English lesson too
