In this study which elements of conflict and balance in political news have been examined, news from written press about election and political parties published before General Election of Parliamentarian in June 12, 2011 have been examined using discourse analysis method. Main factors in examination of news are selection of event, source, scope, publication policy and relations between text and ideology. For this purpose, this study has been limited with political news published on common newspapers before General Election of June 12, 2011. In addition to that, discourse analyses of news published between May 10, 2011 and June 10, 2011 have been discussed in comparison with political parties' results of election. When the findings of the study were analyzed, it is seen that both of the newspapers did not give enough importance to one of the main element of objective journalism: balance; because of that, these two newspapers gave the impression of two conflicting sides.en_US
