Social skills are purpose oriented behaviours. A child’s social development effects his/her social life as an adult. Social competense is mostly needed in adolescence. An individual that has not developed sufficient social skills lack the ability to interact with other individuals in society and his/her relatives. The lack of social skills is considered as an obstacle for both children and adoloscents. It especially occurs with 48-60 month-old children. Children’s and adoloescents’ social incompetancy stem from various factors such as social avoidance, low motivation stemming from depression. Thus, self-confident and cheerful children are prone to be more popular than the ones who have worries. Moreover it is discovered that children and adolescents that have the lack of social and emotional skills tend to continue these behaviours in adulthood.tr_TR
